morgoth66: Juice does such great stuff, glad people have stopped being dumb about this game

Stormbringer: @morgoth66: Nah, his post-loli era has been as dull as can be. He lost his passion and is out of touch, just like SelfDrilling. Some decent stuff here if you like feet, but otherwise there's nothing of value to Juice's work nowadays. Once you get to this point as an artist, you might as well just give up. Unless your making decent money on Patreon or Substar, but then it ceases to be art now doesn't it? You either die as a hero, or live long enough to be a zombie cranking out normie fodder.

morgoth66: @Stormbringer: While his earlier stuff definitely was some of the best, I don't think it stops his new stuff being top tier still.

They're still one of the best with 3D models and know how to compose images really well. So while I definitely would like to see more of Sherry especially from them, I can't deny when somethings well made, even if it's not my favourite.

Stormbringer: @morgoth66: Everything about his recent work is dull. The lighting is dull, the backgrounds are dull, the poses are dull, the expressions are dull. As soon as he stopped doing loli material, it's as if his creative spark was gone in an instant. There is a clear different between what he used to make, and what he makes now. I think deep down he knows he's become just another grain of sand in the normie world. Same thing with SelfDrilling, why bother with HIS stuff when it's no different to anyone else's? It's like the timeless story of a singer who's big in his home town, but can't hope to compete in the mainstream in California. He just gets overwhelmed and lost in the noise, there's always somebody better than him, more famous than him, making more money than him, etc.

morgoth66: That's fair if you feel that way about it, art's subjective so can't tell you to like it, but again, don't think the fact there are better people out there changes anything, otherwise no one but the "best" would matter and that's never been true in art.

Stormbringer: @morgoth66: If it were original art, with original characters, I would agree with you wholeheartedly. The problem is that Juice does not render his own characters, but rather renders pre-existing ones from video games. What then separates this particular render of Hinako from all the others? Granted she isn't a popular character so there isn't many, but the point is that there are many artists that do exactly what Juice does, with exactly the same characters he uses. Unlike 2D art, there isn't much room for creative expression here. Just lighting, posing, camera angle, etc. He's competing with a thousand other artists that are competing for the same pie, as is SelfDrilling. It's sad to see such talent wasted on trying to be the "big boys"
